The Last Resort
Man must reconnect to nature and find the way back to harmony and balance. The beaches of Nosara answer the call. Every individual that arrives projects the commitment in their own personal way. The Last Resort Residence blends a luxury lifestyle, but within the environment. 70% of the land is in preservation. You know it is done right when the howler monkeys make your forest part of their lives for generations.
The beaches of Nosara are a lifestyle, not a tourist destination. The core energy flowing through everything is the Yoga community, the warm Pacific Ocean filled with surfing and swimming, the health-conscious focus, the healers and deep inquiry into being alive. The community has a family-focus and even has its own Montessori school campus. The Last Resort residence is in the middle of it all but set within a personal sanctuary of forest that is yours to protect, nurture and revere.

"Tropical Modern". This style used modern space design but extensive use of natural materials to connect the living spaces to the nature landscape of the area and the specific property and avoiding over cutting of the existing land profile. The housing is designed to fit into the land and Forest rather than overwhelm it by smashing the flow of water, birds, monkeys and trees and "punching a hole in the forest and cut the land" to make a house fit. This is in alignment with living in the beaches of Nosara without replacing nature with an artificial man-made landscape. It is an attempt to enjoy modern life, but not at the complete expense of the natural beauty that is the primal attraction/reason to live here.
