Nosara has a rich yoga culture and a practice location to match every preference!  Ranging from hip, simple spaces to grand structures - there is something for everyone and the instructors are top-notch no matter where you go!  Keep reading to find some of the area’s best locations to zen out.

Consistently featuring a full schedule, the Harmony Healing Center, located in central Guiones, holds a spacious, open-air studio amidst the lush jungle.  Classes span from classic forms of yoga to meditative breath work and everything in between.  Hotel guests receive one complimentary yoga class per day during their stay, but all classes are open to the public.  Personal and private classes are available, as are studio rentals.

The beautiful property at Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort hosts 6 yoga shalas all surrounded by gorgeous jungle and range in size to accommodate 1 - 75 people.  They offer a full calendar of regular community classes, special workshops, and tailored retreats.

Ocean views, jungle views, sunsets, and gentle breezes!  The yoga studio sits at the very top of this modern, minimalistic hotel offering a 360° view of waves and mountains.  You may never want to wake up from your relaxing savasana.  Vivo is located in D-section, just a 6-minute drive from Playa Guiones.

Follow the colorful heart shaped signs around town and you’ll end up at the Buena Vibra studio inside Iluminar Hotel.  The 1,800 square foot rancho was created with intention using local, sustainable, hard-wood teak floors and a natural palm-frond roof.  Rancho Luz is located on the border of the beach refuge of Playa Guiones, just steps from the surf.  With a capacity of 45 mats, this special place serves as a gathering space for the conscious community - often coming together from all corner of the world.   Visit the website to view the eclectic array of daily, inspiration yoga and meditation classes.

If you are looking for a unique, down-to-earth spot where you can meet people from all walks of life, Jungle’s Edge may be the place for you!  Yoga classes are held daily at 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.  Always something on the itinerary, Jungle’s Edge features active retreats, jujitsu, kickboxing classes, and more.

Located on the main road as you come into town, Patitos has a cozy yoga studio with space for about 15 practitioners at a time.  The custom top wall, designed and built by Karl Spaeth, is particularly fun!   The screened in space allows for pest-free, year-long practice.  Patitos offers the use of their manduka mats, cork blocks, straps, eye pillows, bolsters, and a rocking BOSE sound system.

On your way out for a morning surf, don’t forget to check the chalk board sign outside of La Negra Surf Hotel to see what’s on the schedule for the day! They offer daily yoga classes during the summer months. In addition to the public yoga schedule, private yoga instruction is offered in a variety of styles for all levels available for one-on-one, couples, or groups.  Yoga mats, blocks and straps are provided.

Centrally located is the serene jungle oasis at Living Hotel.  Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and just minutes from the beach, day yoga classes are scheduled from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm upstairs in the Rancho.  They'll happily arrange private and custom classes upon request.

Specializing in retreats, the Costa Rica Yoga Spa is located on the mountain of a private ranch just outside Nosara.  The spectacular yoga shala can accommodate 30 students and features breathtaking panoramic ocean and sunset views of the jungle and ranch lands below. Immerse yourself in the wild nature that surrounds you during every yoga class and meditation.   When retreats are not running, open classes are available to the community.

7:00am - Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

4:30pm - Tuesdays. Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays
