Andrew is originaly from Long Island New York and has been in love with the sea since his first job working on the docks and driving the local water taxi in his home town of Northport. At 18 years old he received his United States Coast Guard license and to this day holds a 100 ton Captains license and a masters degree from the Maritime University in New York. He took that love affair of the sea to various places to live and work including Martha’s Vineyard where he took the President of the United States sailing, and to the British Virgin Islands where he lived and worked as Captain of a sailboat. There was no turning back from the calling of mother ocean and it was clear he would always have to live on or near the water.
He first discovered Nosara on a surf trip in 2008. And on a similar trip in 2011 he met the love of his life, his beautiful wife Emiliana from Patagonia Argentina, where they visit once a year. After two beautiful boys, they realized they wanted to return to Nosara some day to raise their children in a place of abundant beauty and happiness. And surf! And after many years of office life the dream finally came true.
Real estate always excited Andrew, constantly finding himself talking about homes and properties, so In preparation of the move he received his license from the State of New York under the local Sothebys office in Long Beach where he and his family previously lived. He wanted to start a new chapter and a new career helping people make their dreams come true. He loves where he lives, his kids go to a local Waldorf school, and he is a great example of just how doable raising a family in Nosara is.
When not showing people around town you can find Andrew surfing, Captaining a boat in Playa Garza, or buzzing around Nosara in his blue tuk tuk. Its easy to spot with the word “Capitan” on the front and his kids probably drinking coconuts in the back.
"I love showing people around Nosara for the first time. Its as magical as ever. I remember that feeling long ago when I traveled all of Costa Rica and eventually realized there is no place like Nosara in the country. For me its the only choice in Costa Rica. I have two kids in school here and we love where we live. I am honored and excited to help you start your dream. If not now when? There is never the perfect time. That “some day” is now. lets do this!”
"The reward for conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself."

“Nathan Jackson at Wanderlust helped me sell my land in Nosara, Costa Rica. He was absolutely fantastic to work with! Nathan is an extremely knowledgeable, communicative, and effective real estate agent….plus super nice and trustworthy guy to boot!
I had a more complicated real estate situation to navigate as I was doing a 1031 Foreign Tax Exchange, and he was very patient, flexible and helpful with the process and working with my needs. I highly recommend you contact Nathan for your real estate needs!”
-Jason Osburn
“Buying a property in a foreign country is a daunting task! Nathan Jackson and the Wanderlust team held our hand every step of the way. Nathan was always professional and his background in architecture made him a wonderful resource as we set about building our dream home in Nosara. He helped us select a lot, understand the process and provided recommendations for local architects. He was always available by phone, email or text. He even sent us videos of the property when a global pandemic prevented us from traveling to Costa Rica to see it in person! I highly recommend Wanderlust.”

“Nathan and the team at Wanderlust Realty were very knowledgeable and responsive in our search for a property to purchase in Playa Guiones. Nathan proactively found homes for us to tour, some of whom were not yet listed for sale. I have bought and sold many homes and Nathan was certainly one of the best I have worked with.”

“Nathan and Tanya did a wonderful wonderful job for me. From soup to nuts they were on top of every (endless) detail. I consider my self a smart person but Nathan caught stuff I missed and was a great advocate for me. Tonya helped me so much with the zillion forms I needed printed and scanned and emailed that had nothing to do with my real estate transaction and everything to do with moving 5 animals back to the USA. So that was very nice. A friendly and super-competent team - I could not have asked for better service.”
—Linda Tarlow
“Brandon at Wanderlust just sold our family's Nosara property, persisting through many apparent obstacles to obtain an admirable result. He was always honest, forthright and timely. “This was the best experience we've had in selling a house. As soon as we met Nathan and Brian and Alex we knew our long wait to sell the house was over. They did everything they could to promote our home and the area. The team was incredible, letting us know how the showings went from the buyer's perspective and encouraging us that we'd meet our goal. These are warm and knowledgeable people and they WILL sell your house!”
—Gwen Lariviere
“I highly recommend Wanderlust Realty. The staff at Wanderlust are wonderful. Brandon and Tanya went above and beyond to help make sure that I got whatever I needed done. Often this meant Tanya did it for me. They continue to be a source of referral, help, and friendship after I bought my little house.”
—Jan Davis
“Nathan was very professional, friendly, and helpful in finding a lot that fit what I was looking for. He took the time to explain the whole process and follow up with me along the way. Highly recommended!”
—Vanessa Bezy
“Nathaniel was most helpful and diligent, I never once felt any sales pressure and he went above and beyond what I expected. Nathaniel only showed me what I required, I told him what I expected and he delivered. I'm looking forward to enjoying our new home and land in Playa Pelada. BTW, Nathaniel is also a bloody good photographer and designer.”
—Martyn Stewart

I've had the pleasure of working with Brandon Richardson and Wanderlust Realty on several transactions over the years dating back to the inception of the company. Brandon's level of knowledge, wisdom, local connection, intuition and business sense navigated the complexities with ease. His reputation for honesty and integrity hold strong and just can't be found elsewhere.

—Jamie Schwartz
“Wanderlust Realty is a very professional and ethical team, in short supply here in Costa Rica. They sold our property through just plain hard work and kept us apprised every step of the way. Their emphasis is getting a good deal for everyone concerned and I felt that they represented both sides of the transaction in an exemplary way. I don't want to single out any individual since it was a team effort, but Brian was our listing broker and he was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!”

One of the most profound and beautiful biological encounters any wildlife enthusiast can experience locally is an “arribada”. An arribada is a Spanish term used for “arrival” and in the Nosara area, the word is synonymous with the mass synchronized nesting of Olive Ridley sea turtles on the black volcanic sands of Playa Ostinal. Just a few kilometres north of Playa Guiones, within the World Wildlife Fund’s recognized conservation site of the Ostinal Wildlife Refuge, this year round phenomenon takes place to the delight of locals and tourists alike.
In Costa Rica, there are two distinct seasonal times of the year: the “Green Season” and the “Dry Season”. Green Season runs from May to mid-November and is referred to as the country’s winter. While mid-November to April is referred to as the Dry Season and is considered their summer. Both have their advantages and it is just matter of a simple perception shift to enjoy both.

Wanderlust Realty has teamed up with Costas Verdes and BarriGuiones to create this inspirational video in appreciation of all that they’ve done for the Nosara community. Their mission is to conserve and restore coastal ecosystems on public lands, including protected areas, publicly owned portions of beaches, mangroves, riverbanks and wetlands. Since Costas Verdes was founded in 2008, they have become Costa Rica's leading coastal reforestation organization. Today they have returned the coastal forest to two beaches of great national importance, Playa Hermosa and Playa Guiones - creating a real and tangible benefit in local communities. Among the benefits are: economic (more tourism), social (active participation of the community, including schools, schools, local businesses and government entities) and environmental. They have become the catalyst of the interests of the Costa Rican’s in recovering the coastal forest of our country.
