Andrew is originaly from Long Island New York and has been in love with the sea since his first job working on the docks and driving the local water taxi in his home town of Northport. At 18 years old he received his United States Coast Guard license and to this day holds a 100 ton Captains license and a masters degree from the Maritime University in New York. He took that love affair of the sea to various places to live and work including Martha’s Vineyard where he took the President of the United States sailing, and to the British Virgin Islands where he lived and worked as Captain of a sailboat. There was no turning back from the calling of mother ocean and it was clear he would always have to live on or near the water.
He first discovered Nosara on a surf trip in 2008. And on a similar trip in 2011 he met the love of his life, his beautiful wife Emiliana from Patagonia Argentina, where they visit once a year. After two beautiful boys, they realized they wanted to return to Nosara some day to raise their children in a place of abundant beauty and happiness. And surf! And after many years of office life the dream finally came true.
Real estate always excited Andrew, constantly finding himself talking about homes and properties, so In preparation of the move he received his license from the State of New York under the local Sothebys office in Long Beach where he and his family previously lived. He wanted to start a new chapter and a new career helping people make their dreams come true. He loves where he lives, his kids go to a local Waldorf school, and he is a great example of just how doable raising a family in Nosara is.
When not showing people around town you can find Andrew surfing, Captaining a boat in Playa Garza, or buzzing around Nosara in his blue tuk tuk. Its easy to spot with the word “Capitan” on the front and his kids probably drinking coconuts in the back.
"I love showing people around Nosara for the first time. Its as magical as ever. I remember that feeling long ago when I traveled all of Costa Rica and eventually realized there is no place like Nosara in the country. For me its the only choice in Costa Rica. I have two kids in school here and we love where we live. I am honored and excited to help you start your dream. If not now when? There is never the perfect time. That “some day” is now. lets do this!”
"The reward for conformity is that everyone likes you except yourself."

She speaks Spanish, English, German, and conversational Italian -allowing her to connect naturally with clients from around the world.
Her professional background blends tourism, marketing, and a Master’s degree in Project Management - a foundation that gives her both creative vision and strong strategic structure. Over the years, she found herself returning to different roles within the real estate world , from management to marketing to sales- until she ultimately embraced it as the career she was meant to pursue.
Carmen was living in Tamarindo and Nosara was her second home. During COVID, as the world paused, Nosara became her safe place- no neighbors, just monkeys, nature, and space to breathe. In that stillness, she realized this was where she wanted to build her life long term.
Since then, she has been part of the Wanderlust Sotheby's team, representing distinctive properties throughout Guiones, Pelada, Garza, Ostional, and Marbella.
What Carmen loves most about real estate is the people. She is endlessly fascinated by human stories, personalities, and the journeys that bring individuals and families to Nosara.
Her passion for photography and nature plays a key role in her work. Through her real estate and lifestyle social media (carmeninnosara), she creates content that captures not just properties, but the feeling of living here -the light, the jungle, the ocean, the energy.

In Costa Rica, there are two distinct seasonal times of the year: the “Green Season” and the “Dry Season”. Green Season runs from May to mid-November and is referred to as the country’s winter. While mid-November to April is referred to as the Dry Season and is considered their summer. Both have their advantages and it is just matter of a simple perception shift to enjoy both.

...Nosara is in every sense of the word a frontier community. The old timers paid the hardest dues and things have certainly gotten much easier in the last 10 years, but our town is still creating itself. We love and respect that we play a role in shaping the identity of our community and most of our neighbors do too...
