This is where us locals escape to on the weekends to catch our breath and enjoy less crowded surroundings. The beach 5 minutes away from the house is considered one of the best in Costa Rica, with beautiful turquoise water, sheltered coves, and ideal swimming conditions. The village of San Juanillo has restaurants and markets for you to enjoy, and of course the fish is fresh, bought straight from the daily boats. We love San Juanillo for its remote feel, yet in reality you are very close to large amenities with Santa Cruz and Tamarindo only an hour to an hour and a half North respectively.
